Cheeky Transitions
Once you are jumping with control and fancy something else to get your teeth into, why not use the obligatory change of direction as a guaranteed crowd puller?
You could be carving with an underturn, or throwing down the much loved BLT – Back Loop Transition.
For these a sound ability to turn on the water, control your board-speed through your edge and fly with a modicum of control will help no end.
Course content:
- Body fundamentals
- Kite principles
- Carving turns
- Underturns
- Popping without the kite
- Jumping without board-speed
- Air Jibe
- Understanding kite positions throughout move
- Creating power for landing
- Loop transitions
To fully master this aerial turn we will work on understanding where the kite is, taking off in anticipation of the kites pull, bar pressure and how to maintain power in the kite. Forward and back loop transitions are an easy progression if you can already loop, and we will see how landing with power in the kite can lead us towards under-turns and eventually kite-loops! Rock and roll.
Typically this clinic will include interactive analysis, on the simulator, on the water and from video footage. Your kit will also be scrutinized to ensure that you are not fighting it and that it is set up to perfection. Customised feedback will enable you to not only improve on the day but also give you personal goals to take away and work on.
