Obviously it was no surprise that the wind continued non stop for clinic 2. The beauty of up north:) Another veritable gang of energy and positivity. Like the wind we continued with laughs, food, beverages and kiting aplomb. And as a spectacle towards the end, we even witnessed the carnage which is fearless children racing for a chance in the junior Olympics! This was of course only outdone by 2 BBQs at the beach. We’ve never seen rain in BG, but as is the way with summer entertaining, the BBQ brought a splattering of drops – hence the chance for a second one – such a shame;) As always some fine performances on the water (those off the water need no mention). Fredgie found the waves and mimicked his legend Robbie Naish. Pizza was slamming the moves out, passing like a demon and found someone who could actually pronounce his name. Lotte’s boner and blind combo were outstanding, and as for the tacks. Magnus wouldn’t be outdone, some great strapless carving and tacking, hefty airs and was spotted out on the water bare chested – easy now tiger. Luisito nailed the dark slide with his usual style and was forever bouncing off stunt ramps on his strapless twin tip:) Sean’s love of the open ocean was finally challenged as his strapless air gybe’s snuck ever closer. Luciano, our cultural attache for all things Brazilian nailed the tack, got some strapless airs and even found time for some twin tip air gybes. Clare was most solidly in the chair of air, hanging around and even changing direction. Danielle was also heavily involved with air traffic control, as well as some delicious toe side and wave playing. Kirk, well Kirk is just another word for BIG AIR. Some gorgeous height, noteworthy boners, and the front roll… Big Ian, controlled style with some large airs and oodles of hang time, rotations and those top turns the waves. And last but not least Victoria certainly got on with her new Switchblade, sending it for some tasty jumps as well as carving the strapless machine. All the while Heliarde was on hand to inspire, smile and save:)
